10 steps to boost your self confidence

 

 

·         1. Smile.... Laugh

Sounds simple right? That's because it is. Look I'm not trying to say that a smile is going to chase away all your confidence issues but it will help. Not only does smiling & laughing make you feel more confident it also makes us look more confident.

 

·         2.  Always be ready to face the world...

 

Just because sometimes you don't feel the best doesn't mean that you should give up ladies. It is hard to feel confident when you aren't properly groomed or dressed! Does this seem a little shallow to you? It absolutely not, try it. dressing nice & looking after yourself will boost your self confidence as well as project confidence.

 

·         3. Set Goals...

 

It is amazing more people don't properly set goals. It is vital that you have your goals written down & that they are specific, and timely. Working towards a goal will help you build confidence. If you break your longer term goals into smaller more manageable goals, they will become more obtainable & once you start hitter your goals, your confidence will start to build.

 

·         4. Build momentum with small positive changes...

 

This goes hand in hand with my last tip. Small goals will help you build momentum in your business & life, but it will also help with positive habit changes. You don't have to make drastic changes, any small positive change will help you to feel more confident.

 

·         5. Focus on solutions....

One of the worst things for your self confidence is focusing on your problems. Obviously it is impossible to ignore all of your problems & I am not suggesting you should, but a more effective use of your time would be to focus on how you can solve those problems. This will not only help your confidence it will also make you address some of your problems.

 

·         6. Exercise....

 

This one of the most effective ways I know of that will build your confidence. It works on a number of different levels. Exercising will help you feel better, look better and relax. It will give you a sense of accomplishment each time you complete a tough exercise. It is the perfect activity to build your confidence.

 

·         7. Keep a success log....

 

Keeping a success log may seem a little bit corny to some people but I always coach the ladies in my program to celebrate their wins, no matter how small they may seem, you do not realize how quick they will become the big wins. Anytime you reach a goal or accomplish something of importance keep track of it. That way when things don't seem to be going your way you can check your success log to boost yourself & remember howfar you've come.

 

·         8. Be grateful...

 

A positive mindset is one of the best ways to ensure confidence. It is very hard to be confident if all you do is beat yourself up. Take some time each day to think about the things that you are grateful for. Trust me the list will become longer than you think. Remembering the positives in your life will help you stay confident.

 

·         9. Listen to "uplifting" music.....

 

Sound a little silly to you, this always lifts my mood (dancing around my living room with a hair brush in hand!) OK so you don't have to go that far, but if you are feeling nervous or don't feel confident, try listening to some music that will 'pump you up a little'. Listen to whatever music works for you. If blasting gangster rap or death mental on the way to your job interview gets you ready, then do it!

 

·         10. Get better (even if it's a slow process)

 

Not feeling confident? Quite literally - get better. If you don't feel confident in your job, business or any aspect of your life - improve it. Just taking a course & working towards improvement will drastically improve your self confidence.

 

 

These steps are simple to follow and will boost your confidence but as with anything in life you will need to be consistent & persistent. This isn't a magic pill to suddenly make your life a million times better, but if you keep working on these steps then they will dramatically improve your self confidence.
